Volunteers are always welcome to help maintain the park to a high standard. At the moment the bowling green volunteers from all clubs meet on a Monday and Thursday, weather permitting, to fertilise the green, cut the grass and hedge as required and improve the flower beds together with other maintenance tasks. If you feel you can help just turn up and meet the group and have a nice coffee and chat afterwards. They are there from 9am until 11am .

The heritage Centre, Canal Society and the football clubs are always looking for volunteers as well and their individual contacts are on the members page of this website

The Canal Society are currently re-building the edge wall to sections of the canal and would be most grateful for assistance.
